The Kentucky Constitution makes it clear that the Secretary of State exists to facilitate and memorialize communication between the Governor, the Legislature, and the citizens of the Commonwealth. I will take the most liberal interpretation of this fundamental duty that I possibly can, and I will publish literally everything that I can get from the Governor’s office. I will publish every single thing to the exact extent of the governor’s cooperation, so a governor who will work with me (such as Democratic candidate Geoff Young) will be able to provide the most truly transparent administration ever seen, in the history of this or any other state. If there is a governor who places themselves in opposition to this, then I will make it my duty to extract every particle of information from their office that I can and speculate publicly on everything that they won’t tell us.
