In combination with microvoting, I’d like to explore the idea of small permanent voting centers in the county seat of each Kentucky county. This would not have to be anything complicated or fancy, just a small office on Main Street where people can go in, have a cup of coffee, register their opinions on important issues, and meet with other citizens to discuss politics in a clean, well-lit place. This would cost more to implement than the rest of my platform combined, but the money would go directly into the city centers of Kentucky and provide precisely one more stable, respectable tenant per county seat. It’s not the worst use of taxpayer money, and it strengthens democracy.
